This painting was created on the plein-air 13.02.2021. It was a snowy week in Amsterdam. The very unusual weather situation in the Netherlands. People said, that the last time it was so cold 10 years ago. Some of the canals were frozen and people were skating.

I am not really into skating, but I love snow and I love painting snow. I went to Oosterpark on a sunny day. I loved the atmosphere, everybody was skating: from very small kids to elderly people. People were laughing and having a good time. I also had a great time while painting all of this!
