The season of flower fields in the Netherlands starts at the end of March. The first blooming flowers are daffodils and hyacinths. Usually, nature in the Netherlands doesn't have bright colours, mostly dull shades. But when the flowers are blooming you can find all kinds of bright colours here!

I found a huge field of hyacinths near Voorhout. Flowers have such an intensely sweet smell, it's a pure pleasure to sit and paint there.
